Throughout the conference, we focused on disseminating progress from the TOGAS project to ministries and relevant institutions, responsible for organizing and funding screening programs across Europe. Global insights, including contributions from Asia and Latin America, were shared to enhance understanding of international strategies. A key topic was cost-effectiveness, with ERASMUS MC presenting updates that will be crucial to pave the way for prevention strategies that are both impactful and cost-effective. Representatives from Thomas More (Belgium) and Latvia also reported on data collection efforts from Member States regarding gastric cancer prevention. The event concluded with a roundtable discussion featuring national ministries, who addressed potential opportunities for implementing prevention strategies across various countries.
