TOGAS joined by a Fulbright scholar

Professor of the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Environmental Health Sciences at Georgia Southern’s Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health Dr. Yelena N. Tarasenko, has earned a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award in All Disciplines to Latvia for the 2023-2024 academic year from the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

In her Fulbright project “Strengthening research and teaching capacity in cancer prevention globally” Yelena N. Tarasenko will be collaborating with the TOGAS consortium for (i) implementation research focused on cancer screening and patient navigation, and (ii) teaching activities focused on fostering research productivity (e.g., guest lecturing, curriculum development, advising, and mentoring).
