We're proud to share that PhD candidate Noa Kapteijn from Erasmus MC presented important findings at the Dutch Digestive Disease Days (DDD) in Veldhoven.

The study, conducted in collaboration with the AIDA consortium, validates the Endoscopic Grading of Gastric Intestinal Metaplasia (EGGIM) scoring system against the histological OLGIM standard across two large European cohorts.

Key finding:

EGGIM demonstrates high accuracy in detecting OLGIM stage 3–4, providing a practical tool that could simplify gastric cancer surveillance by reducing the need for biopsies and supporting endoscopic risk stratification.

This multicenter validation demonstrates how the TOGAS study data contribute to the development of practical clinical tools for improved patient care.

Congratulations to Noa and the entire team!
