We are proud to introduce Dr. Radu-Alexandru Fărcaș, MD, a gastroenterologist and Assistant Professor at the "Iuliu Hațieganu" University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMF) in Cluj-Napoca.

As a consortium member, UMF contributes significantly to the project, being involved in gastric cancer prevention through Helicobacter Pylori eradication.

The TOGAS study is committed to inclusive research, which is why it includes Roma communities in Transylvania. One of their activities is organizing focus groups with vulnerable populations, such as the Romani people in Transylvania.

To achieve a truly comprehensive understanding of gastric cancer screening program implementation and existing limitations across Europe, TOGAS must include diverse population groups. This inclusive data collection is vital for developing and properly implementing effective and equitable screening programs throughout the European Union.
