New global guidance on gastric cancer prevention!

An IARC Working Group has released new recommendations on how to implement population-based Helicobacter pylori “screen-and-treat” strategies to help prevent gastric cancer. Still one of the leading causes of cancer death worldwide.

The guidance is accompanied by a publication in The New England Journal of Medicine and was led by Dr Jin Young Park (IARC), Head of the Gastric Cancer Prevention Team at IARC.

While this is not a TOGAS output, we’re proud that many experts involved in TOGAS contributed to this Working Group, reinforcing the strong scientific alignment between global evidence and TOGAS’s mission to support prevention and early detection strategies in Europe.
