Today we celebrate the women driving change in health and research. We’re proud to highlight Tatjana Kofol, local coordinator of TOGAS in Slovenia, whose work is helping shape the future of gastric cancer prevention.

“Through European project TOGAS, we are researching options to reduce gastric cancer. By addressing Helicobacter pylori infection, which affects young women and men equally, we are targeting the leading causal agent. In Slovenia, pilot study research of H. pylori screen and treat strategy implementation is conducted in primary health care — where we rely on nurses and physicians, most of them women. As local coordinator of the TOGAS project, I am proud to work with scientists and health professionals who are transforming evidence into reduction of gastric cancer.”

At TOGAS, we celebrate women in science who turn research into real-world impact.
